The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) were made under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and came into force on 5 December 1998.
These Regulations implement the lifting provisions of the Amending Directive to the Use of Work Equipment Directive. The Regulations apply in all premises and work situations subject to the HSW Act and build on the requirements of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
LOLER tests apply to lifting equipment and usually means lifting hoists in the environment we work in. Our engineers are trained on carrying out LOLER tests ensuring you meet your statutory requirements.
